College Scandals and the Death Penalty...

First read this  http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/NCAA-death-penalty-just-doesnt-work-090511  and either remember or Google (yes it is a verb) the NCAA scandals of the past few years...
This guy has it right..now I do not support "paying" college athletes, but do support Gregg Easterbrook's call to penalise poor academic schools and boost the better ones.... like bowl bans and etc. I do not believe in the Death Penalty and as the article says, it doe snothing but punish those who come after the guys who broke the rules break them.... I think every scholarship and atheltic department contract should include things like punsihments if the people involved are caught wrongdoing..including maor fines, having to return pay and schlarships for the years rules were broken and being banned from the sport..no hiding at other colleges or within the professional ranks.
Now I also believe scholarships should be all inclusive, fact is, unlike normal college students, scholarships athletes do not have the same opportunities to make additional money and the time of year they can work is severely limitted.... seriously.. scholarship fottball players to meet academic elligibility honestly and keep up with their sport can only work for a short time every year..too much either way and their academics suffer or their game and sport preperation does. It also doesn't help that coaches do push them into hollow degree programs and majors to keep them on the academic easy streetin most colleges. Most current athletic scholarships leave a $4,000-$6,000 dollar gap in what is needed for the players to attend school expense wise... this should not be so for any scholarship student... it's like winning a lotto and not having the vehcle or gas money to go collect on it.
Now there is a small segment of college athletes that are paid, the military academies pay their students (they are, after all, members of the military)...but this is all stuents, not just student athletes and service academy members not only have their regular courses to attend (usually a heavier load then non service academies), but all the other military details to cover like PT, field training, and etc. during non class times.,,they can also be aclled up even before graduation for service in war time and sign a contract for service after their graduation, meaning most are not out to get NFL jobs....which amazingly only a few hundred out of thousands who bank on it actually get a shot at.
Fact, schools do make money off fo football programs and basketall, some even off of baseball and other sports... but those two are the money makers. .. the NCAA in fact probably makes more money a year off of sports then the professional leagues do... and spend less on  paying people then others. Hell, the football factory schools have better support facilities then most pro organisations do. ..something noted by many a draftee... yet still leave much to desire.
Want to know the true state of college football, just look at the pro-world. More and more pro's get in trouble each year..why? Because years of "entitlement" have lead to this... when ever since high school you get treated special and lie a god, you expect the same when a pro..and then it changes. Coaches, AD's, and even school Presidents are not concerned abot the "student athlete" as much as they are their revenue and winning... boosters come and go spending huge amounts and only do so as long a sthe wins are more then the losses... and theplayers get cheated out of education and etc. becaus eof this.
Now to be fair, college football and basketball does support virtually all college sports... the nonprofitable ones as well. Without UT (Tennessee, not that failed program in Texas) football, you wouldn't have the legendary UT Women's Basketball program. Just like without North Carolina's basketball program you probably wouldn't have their legendary women's soccer team....the money does go to supportng all the other sports... and is not just spent back int the football or basketball pool. This is why they are so against losing the bowl format..it brings in too mush money to be set aside lightly... and fact is a playoff may not be fair at all. Look at the NFL where a losing team made the play-offs last year while weveral teams with better records sat at home.... conference championship games show this weakness, remember when Oklohoma, Texas, and Texas Tech were tied and the chosen winner ha to play a team for teh conference championship with a way worse record then any of them?... Kind of unfair...same has happened in the SEC and other conferences with championships...a team with a better winning percentage even when in the same division (Georgia a few years ago had a better record then TN and a better record then LSU and still didn't make the SEC title game or the National Championship)... The whole system needs reworked especially punishment for those who cheat.
Players do not need to be paid, they do need better scholarships and to be pushed for doing better in school..realising the fact is most will not even get invited to try out for an NFL team period. Their sense of entitlement needs to be killed even before college... High Schools are bigger cheaters then Colleges and still make sure moronic players are elligible for Fridays when the fact is they should probably be still in the third grade academically. Back when i was in high school more then once I was approached to test for athletes and trned them down..why? Well, i was already well known myself in academic circles and played sports myself..so it was not possible for me to take two tests at once (back when a 1400 was a perfect score on the SATs I made a 1360 on the PSAT and 1400 on the SAT, Maxed teh ACT, scored a 96 average on the ASVAB...aced my various AP exams... receiving full credit for them..in fact for many during the essay question and because I finished with more then half the time to spare I answered not only the required essay question and the one choose from this lsit of 5 questions, but the other 4 as well...why? We had to all stay until the time was up.
I played basketball 3 years, tennis two, track 3, football 2 and other sports and never took anything but advanced and AP classes and did other extracurricular activities also...chess, drama, chorus, and etc... my lowest GPA was 3.56..I graduated after taking a year off with a 3.92...the University of Georgia used to require scholarship male football players to have a 1.09..moved up to a 1,19..female athletes needed a 2.10 GPA... that's a high F for males..and C's for females to gain and keep scholarships. Herschel walker cold barely read and write when he left College for the USFL... he amitted this in many magazine articles. This was a crime, because that man was intelligent and trly gifted.
How can I say that? he could and did understand gameplans and etc...and could run like no other...athletes are not stupid, just ignorant of most things outside of sports and the world they choose to live in... because of the God complexes given them by tme they enter high school. A lot of people see the continual arrests of athletes in certain programs as a sign of bad things..not me, what worries me is the program's that do not make the news in this way. Program's who do so are proof the local authorities do not coddle their college athletes.... where as those school's you never hear anything about make you stop and wonder about. Like compate Florida with USC..every year you will hear about at least 2 Florida players getting arrested... how many do you hear of at USC in a city with far more crime and distractions?... or how about Texas... Benson started suddenly just getting arrested and breaking laws after graduation or going into the NFL?..yep, you rarely hear about Txas players getting in trouble.. now a reminder Texas is where the big SMU scandal of the 80's took place..and it reached up to the Governor's office.... those school's scare me.
Another thing that scares me..multiple suspensions and students who get suspended at one school going to another..and the NCAA allows it... I think there should be a definite rule about that and multiple suspensions. In fact...students who are felons should lose all scholarships or rights to play (most schools will boot normal students over this), busted with illegal drgs and substabces the same, underage drinking also, and finally no more multiple suspensions....like Garcia in South Carolina..5 suspensions..no way he should be playing. They should also ban players who parents try and gain from their abilities..ie: Cam Newton's dad...who's Church mazingly received numerous donations after he went to Auburn and even more after the NC.
How to fix this, you can keep the bowl format, but do a plus one when there are two undefeated teams...keep the BCS Championship...tag it with the NCAA one also, but if there's a dispute..play another game for the NCAA one. Disallow more then one cupcake game..and make it so cross conference games are a must... This will help clear up a lot of the problems..and keep teamslike Kentucky who schedule a lot of easy Non-conference games to make a bowl every year on purpose. Next, pass a rule coaches cannot make more then their bosses. Quite frankly it is bullshit a collegiate president responsible for the entire college gets $500k while his coach gets $5 million a year.
Next.. like I said earlier, make scholarship offers contracts, students and their parents have to sign... stating penalties for breaking the rules and fines for not living out their scholarships lifetime...also penalise coaches who force athletes out so they can open another scholarship for another player. This can be repaying the scholarship in full plus any legal fees incurred by the school over their cheating and more. Same for coahes..start making them pay and it'l straighten up. Next..have the NCAA form a real unit with real powers, backed by a congressional mandate to be able to actually investigate these matters and add to it the weight of the law..as in felonies and etc... for blocking such investigations and being caught anyway. As it stands the NCAA can only request people to speak to them and evidence..nothing else...they cannot force testimony or even gather evidence without cooperation...and that is thetruth and why the whole Reggie Bush debacle at USC took so long...they don't want to take that long and even have  been blocked from taking action because of this (TN 1998 championship team was reported for across the board academic cheating... none chose to talk, neither did the coaches, and the tutor filing the charges and making the accusations stopped also aftet the University gave her another higher paying job..after they originally fired her, plus a large bonus), these rules need to change.
Also, the NCAA needs to make the rules and penalties clearer and fair across the board..smaller, unknown schools get hit harder then major money making ones...which is unfair. Also they need to come down hard on reportng schools..TN reported the entire Means deal to the NCAA only because their arch Rival Alabama won the bidding war..and their Coach Fulmer stopped making appearences anywhere where he could be subpoena'd to testify about it. Reports stated almost all the SEC and Southern schools in general were part of that whole bidding war except for the Florida schools and several others. Bowden and Spurrier are cleaner then that and Miami had their own conduits to gain talent and didn't want or need him. Tennesse, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, the MIssissippi Schools, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and several other schools were all involved in the bidding..and because they lost TN reported it.
Big note here I am a Florida fan and live in Tennessee (originally from NE Florida) and can tell you honestly UT cheats..or rather did for years...and it was and is openly talked about around here among UT fans....who also claim whenever they lose the oher team cheats even worse, because they can't see how a team that plays by the rules can beat their team when it doesn't. This cheating involves recruiting (Johnny Majors got a slap on the wrist for his football camp scheme), academic elligibility, illegal bonuses for players..I worked in Knoxville and have seen UT players get into clubs free and not have to pay for anything, even when shopping at malls and etc. Hell I lived in Florida drig high school and when visitng one summer in Knoxville after our basketball team made the state final four... was approached at a restaraunt where I was eating with my older brother by their basketball coach who tried plying us with bear and wine and paying our tab...my brother who was 6 years older then me drank freely...I did not and I paid our tab, while letting them pick up his beer tab... but refused to commit or even visit the campus (I had already been numerous times visiting a step dad with cancer and friends I knew there).. now I was honored..my brother was shocked because he was the supposed athlete of the family and never was treated that way in school... and did not turn them in and made sure everyone knew they were not payng and I was not drinking....frankly, since I had family in TN and if I hadn't of taken that year..I may have accepted the offer even as a Florida fan. He was nice and respectful, even of my preference for schools... and talked about the upcoming college football season, which we agreed hinged on who won the Florida-UT-Georgia-Alabama games as usual..UF was out being under suspension by the NCAA, but their winning or losing would affect the other teams.
Because I was into sports and was recruited awhile did see the bad side...it's actually quite open and out there believe it or not...things like Georgetown having a 99% white school population and an all black basketball team, Boston College and Notre dame being Catholic schools and having so many non-catholic scholarship athletes, and etc. Hell Florida itself is on par admission wise and rep wise academically as a Southern Ivy League school, yet look at the athletes who get in... I believe only Vandy has harsh academic levels for scholarship athletes in the SEC... and having such is not a sure sign of being a bad school.
Notre Dame is only recently bad..they've always had higher academic elligibility requirements for football players then other schools, Stanford is another... in fact several schools who are perennial top 25'ers are like that. The service academies are even worse. A note here, some atletes are actually quite good about getting their degrees, Bo Jackson made sure to get his, because in his words, if he didn't would have been breaking a promise to his grandmother...and he did it while being a professional two sport athlete. Also, the rumours of him using steroids and etc were proven wrong..his injury was so bad because, yes he did have a less then healthy low body fat count...but not from steroids, but from a hard life and hard work even before college. Not enough body fat has been proven to cause major problems with injury recovery..the reason why those skinny young gymnasts take two years to recover from normal springed ankles.
That's another thing the NCAA should do, across the board testing for illegal and prscribed drugs...a real problem at the collegiate level and one who's policy is not NCAA wide or even conference wide, but a school by school basis... each school decides what's proscribed and the punishment for it...hence why some schools have a high level of marijuana users busted during the NFL combines and others get nailed for performance enhancers. (Florida and USC...respectively).
My answers... either do it themselves or Congress do it, but give the NCAA more power and have it backed by the law when it comes to investigating..make sure the punishments are fair across the board and those breaking he laws are punished, not those who follow, get on board with the pro's to do this also. Make the rules across the board the same from school to school and drug testing and what constitutes being punishable the same with the same penalties. No more multiple suspensions or moving to avoid punishment...repeat offenders get lifetime bans from such.
Make scholarships all inclusive..meaning covering all the expenses and provide more opportunities for college athletes to find real and meaningful jobs in the community...work with High Schols also to reig in the sense of entitlement and local law enforcement to make sure athletes are not getting passes by homer cops and others... and stop plea bargains down to unpunishable misdemeanors...that keep schools from using rules about felonies to boot troublesome athletes. I do agree with one statement about a possible $300 a month additional stipend for all college athletes to help out... the time to stay honestly in shape and to get ready for seasons and etc does take a ot of time and make it hard for them to find decent jobs... and honest jobs. Do not bust them for selling their own personal memorabillia...this is patently unfair. Colleges can and do make money off their likenesses and etc..why can't they?
Honestly i do not care about the Ohio State guys trading things for tattoos as much as I do them hanging out with a known drug dealer..tattoos are expensive and the coaches should have been wonderig how these supposedly poor guys could afford them and the nice cars they drove...which also bothers me more. The school make moeny off of appearences by coaches and athletes..why can't the athletes themselves..many of which won't receive a chance otherwise to proffit on their sports careers because most will not see any beyond the collegiate level...this is no brainer. Now I'm not talking endorsement deals..but maybe paid appearences at grand openings and etc....I also have no problems with them receiving discounts at stores they freqent, clubs, and etc... their appearence there will gain said places more custom anyway. Hell, when iwas a manager I gave discounts to regulars who brought large crowds in or used our place as a hang out...and our bottom ine showed it. We did this for car clubs and etc...and gained off it on otherwise slow times. Hell, we weren't a sports bar, but made moeny during seasons just because I talked the owners into just one TV out in the lobby placing them all around..and were packed whenever games were on.Our only slow night was  Tuesday and Wednesdays because their were games on all the other nights... we also let the local schools know we'd give a discount for after game meals... and for them to let their opponents outside the area know also... and that this included bands and cheerleaders...plus anyone with a student ID for both schools...other restaraunts were mad because we received all this attention..hell we'd stay open late if they wanted coming home from away games.
The rules can be very honest and less hrahs and keep the "amateur" quality of the college game.... if done sensibly... but they don't want that...and that is wrong. The death penalty only punishes those who follows..SMU's boosters, the regents, governor, and etc. were not punished...only the players and school...which was the real crime.

Space Junk...or how Earth's Orbit resembles our highway edges now.

First read this.... http://www.slate.com/id/2302832/?gt1=38001 and now stop and think..I remember hearing about this problem way back when I started school in the late '70's... and just now the world is getting around to figuring out what a problem this is because a sattelite was lost..and note here the company that owned the sattelite was given advanced warning and ignored it.  We're actually quite lucky not to have lost any manned missioned because of this, I know one shuttle mission was a concern because a piece of debris hit the cockpit windows and penentrated ratherly deeply into them... and was noticed after it landed.
This articles seprates the man made debris into 3 categories..cars, hub caps, and bullets based on size... and talks about the difficulty in removing any of it and how the bullets are potentially the most difficult and virtually impossible to stop and gather...then points out several high tech answers and our limitations. Which is basically though electronics have changed since the space race began back in the late  1950's, the means of gaining orbit and moving once there has not... plus the expense involved, and etc.
Now, what makes it so difficult s the simple equation M^2 x CS^2 =Force of Impact (mass nultiplied by mass) multiplied by (current speed multipled by current speed) = force of impact.... ex: you have a 1 pound object travelling 5 mph... it would hit with 10 pounds of pressure per square inch... now imagine a 1 milligram object going 12,000 km's per second....that hit with a 144,000 milligram per square milligram force or so....against an object not moving...the object, if moving would ad it's own mass and speed to the equation and the direction would also have a lot to do with it... but not much. Think of it like following a dump truck carrying a load of gravel on the interstate and   one piece falls off and its your wind shield..this may be deflected if the windshield is angled right r may result in a large impact crater with the spier web of cracks emanating out of it... becauese it's traveling in your direction at it's speed (which can be considerable) and you are at it at betweem 55-85 mph depending on where ad what interstate you are on... as compared to say the same thing happeing in s school zone where the lights are flashing..which would usually result in the piece of gravel maybe just leaving a dust spot mark on the windshield.
They are als facing the same legal ramifications of this... now the incident in 2009 where the company ignored NASA'a warnings..they shouldn't get squat... they ignored the warning not wanting to expend any fuel moving their sattelite and then repositioning it after... but others who do not receive a warning or id damage is caused by one of the smaller untrackable pieces of deris...take the dump truck example above. This happened to us before...and we did get the dump trucks numbers and tag numbers..it took us on the three occasions it happened over a year to get our money back for the repairs.... and the company responsible ended up being fined because they were not supposed to take the route they were taking (through a school zone) and their loads were not covered correctly and were in fact overloaded. (this occurred over a two year period taking our son to school..other vehicles also had the same problem plus several school buses).. the cops stationed at the school to direct traffic and etc... kept note of what was happening, the number of times they saw dump trucks and etc... several were in fact ticketted for using the route and etc....we did file police reports every time and they ende dup, though w eonly had the windshield replaced once (the resin patches twice)...ended up having to pay for 3 replacement windshield plus other damages ( we did file with our insurance, a no claim file so they could  note who's falt it was and etc... it didn't affect our rates, we did it to find the best repair people in our area... and get the average price so as not to be ripped off)... But this did take a year after the last time...the cops started putting units along the routes to catch the trucks before they could cause an issue...the trucks were going that route for idot reasons, the usual truck route through the town we live din would have actually gaine dthem more time and been shorter.... something they didn't figure own because it went around town instead of through.
Now, on the matter of liability..Russia currently is responsible for over 2/3's of the junk, but cannot even begin to afford clean up.... and they currently also have the only proven manned launch capabilities with the shut down of the shuttle project.. we do have such proven capabilities, but it seems NASA has forgotten how to use the gemini and apollo technologies...or, in all actuality are usng the excuses to try for more funds to waste.... since they do tend to go way over budget on everything they do...probably either got it from defense department contractors or vice versa. Fact is there is nomeans to assign blame when problems happen due to the fact most of the debrisis untrackable and no one wants to pay for the mess in the first place...which includes the famous wrench floating around up there.
Their ideas are rather expensive also considering the various things they'd have to clean up..stating rather frankly the "hubcaps" and "bullets" woud be virtully impossible, and the "cars" extremely hard... not really. Here's my thoughts on it..and within what we can do now. First and foremost for the cars..small disposable thrust units that can be remotely attached and slowly push them into degrading orbits using their own speed... this kind of defeats their said expensive means of ion thrusters (not really in existence and would probably be extimated at millions to start working on and fifteen years from now cost billions), tethers, lasers, and etc...(usually the same probems as associated with ions).
The problem here is most people, even scientists see space as an empty void and that s not the cae. It has gasses and etc in it... a small thruster..even electrical one can slowly start a large piece of debris moving until it anges into a degrading orbit and enters the atmosphere where it burns up... and the angle can be programmed and figured so if any debris survives it hits in the ocean or unpopulated areas. Now the smaller stuff may be slightly more expensive...but my idea is simple..a sattelite with a large flat surface that scans for such stuff...and angle sitself so the debris impacts on the flat surface and is angled into another such orbit..like skipping rocks or a ricochet effect... something that may be handy in learning how to deflect large Earth threatening asteroids with impacts or explosives meant to alter their course away from such... we do have the ability to make simple shields also and this can help..and be developed further for other uses..like protecting the eventualy spaceships meant to travel further from Earth from natural space debris.
Another idea is to start developing a larger space station, further out it a continuous orbit and have a means to collect and use said junk in the building, especially the body... or in side to test to see how long term exposure to space and etc may have afected it's properties..a definite must for any long range manned missions.... for all we know, theres a piec of a titanium alloy out there that has become adamantium from these effects... such would go a long way to making a super steel or alloy for future space programs and etc....all the possible answers they have come up with are usually not researched enough..basically next gen at best tech or have a huge potential for their own disasters and etc. Tethers..which can cause more deri, ion thrusters and lasres...who's cons we do not knows yet and cannot judge what can happen (ion thrusters..the Star Wars Imperium lives...TIE Fighters on the way...note TIE stands for Twin Ion Engines..looks like NASA and DARPA are gathering the KUAT drive yards blueprints for their future tech weapons.. missing the whole point that INCOM's snub fighters have definitely been shown to be better...).
Now, in my spare time I write sci-fi and fantasy, and one of my stories does involve all the junk up there being used by a company and group that develope FTL engines and "droids" (trademarked by LucasArts...but actually an abbreviation of android... my driod are free floating orbs with various sizes and uses) they place in space that utilize space energy sources (solar, the "wind"urrents, and etc) to start gathering the debris to build a large viable spacestation to stage future missions from...concerning uniting the world in time to stop an impending Alien attack aimed at causing our extinction so they can settle the earth..not for resources, just they're so big and haven't developed population constrols so have to do this to survive... so on and etc.
The "droids", going from hand held size (think softball) to large sattelite size use a variety of means to do this..one for smaller debris is am electromagnetically charged net to slow the debris down and gather it (larger driods form together to make orbital furnaces and production plants).. larger debris is just towed... using via an attacked tether and pulled in the drection it travels but at an angle to use its own momentum to aid it in changing orbits and etc. Basically in one afternoon of deciding how to deal with the problem, I came up with actual real, current tech, means of doing so... using "fantasy" methods...FTL travel and droids..possible. My stuff uses current theories mixed with some noncurrent and even made up, but hopefully scentific sound reasoning to do so.. yes a "good" alien race helps...but the humans involved do not copy tech, with the boost the main group who already was going against set scientific thinking and what most science is bound up in, comes up with their own methods that actually surprise the Aliens helping, because it's more efficient and better then their tech...because they also got stuck to one lie of scientific thought when they discovered created their tech millenia ago. My fantasy/magical tech stuff is also gronded in recent scientific movements away from mainstream science about evolution, history, physics, and etc...a not here my good and bad Aliens have been around far longer then Earth..supposedly... but do not get involed in religious/science debates other to state religion is not as harmful a smany believe..they have their own... and will not answer the evoluton/creation debate... though they will and do admit to having watched the earth for a very, very long time.
I do "borrow" ideas from many sci-fi books and universes (you cannot write anything nowadays without doing so)... and hopefully this is not taken as plagiarism or stealing said ideas.  Fact is most of our current scientific discoveries and tech come from such..magine if those people started sueing over it..every cell phone maker would owe Gene Rodenberry money, the ion guys would owe LucasArts, Laser guys almost everyone..so on and etc... if I ever finish my "story" and they want to sue..okay...but I think they shouldn't because virtually every man or woman working on this stuff got their ideas from them and I am only reflecting that in my story...like the first FTL ship is a rip on Star Trek...even called the Runabout and designed somewhat on it..though bigger...and the main character behind it all considers the Star Trek mode the prettiest and extremely doable for building the space fleet, but events stop him from doing so immediately. The original space fleet that eventually takes to space is a direct rip from Starblazers/Space Battleship Yamato and the sci-fi series written by a scientist and others about a converted nucler sub being used. Also note..the group is formed in a very famous online game and some of the characters are clearly based on people I know, met online via said game, and etc... any writer who claims it all just popped in his head is lying... we all base our fantasies on and around what and who we know... I also try and honor the sci-fi guys I know and love in my story... a list, and you should read these guys, is one of modern writers, as opposed to the venerable pathenon of older writers like Asminove and etc....guys like:
  David Drake
  John Ringo
  Eric Flint
Travis S. Taylor (the above mentioned Scientist)
  Mercedes Lackey
  Robert Jordan...
Lucas and the entire Star wars family of writers
Rodenberry and the same for Star Trek
The great Marvel creators and writers, along with other comics
Tolkien, who got me involved with fantasy and the sci-fi at an early age
The THieves World writers who taught me a story is only half way formed when told from only one viewpoint and often you get more from seeing just the beggar in the streets side of it.
NatGeo who taught me the wonder of other places and cultures
the Bad Astronomer..who'll probely rippe dmy book completely if ever completed and published with the above mentioned Dr. Taylor.
   so on and etc...
Notice more the just sci-fi writer's involved in all that... and any of the above mentioned people are worthy to look into among others I can name... like Piers Athony.who's books are actually far more enjoyable because of his afterwords and etc...then just their content..same with Taylor and Ringo... Greg easterbrook who writes TMQ for ESPN2 online, but has several nonsports related degress and writes economics book, but comments on everything from TV to gama bursts logged by NASA in his weekly TMQ artice for ESPN2.. for a glance into the military life I owe the writers who served in the military (Ringo, Drake, others..who we also owe a debt for their service.. and those I know who also served and put up with my questions about organisation and etc.).
Now about space unk..this is a very real problem..I recall the scenes in "Wall-E" where the probe ship and then the main ship come through the solid cloud of space junk orbitting earth...and don't need the Pixar movie to say this is happeninfg now.. it is and needs to be fixed...so get real about and come up with "real" ansers, and note an excuse to spend billions more on pet projects that may actually do nothing 9the Star wars defense initiitive anyone?).

Man is this guy mixed up...

First read this.... http://www.thecourier.co.uk/News/Fife/article/16726/st-andrews-university-expels-man-found-guilty-of-racially-abusing-jewish-student.html   Okay now..
In a way I agree with this idiot about it being a political thing about Isreal and not a racist attack..he did admit to insulting Israel and their Flag, and not jews in general.... Now the Jewish student is a refugee from Lithuania and anti-semitism there and has the flag as a gift from his brother who served or serves in the IDF.... So he's kinda like a guy born in Jamaica, living in New York, with a Puerta Rican flag hanging from his rear view mirror.
Now the stupidity about this all, the guy was drunk obviously...but stating Israel is a terrorist state that uses suicide bombers..my goodness man... they're the most targetted state of suicide bombers on earth..come on, even inebriated get your facts straight. I've, in my almost 40 years, never read a headine that said 'Israeli terrorist detonates self on a Palestinian Bus Killing 30 and wounding 40 more...' Now the reverse is true.
The facts are the whole situatio in Israel is complicated and was done purposedlyby the Britsh just to create a screwed up situation.... Israel did fight a war where they were terrorists to gain their freedom and several more against foes who ha dno problems attacking them during Jewish Religious holidays and etc..yet who cry foul if they're attacked during Muslim ones. Fact is, the Jews were all set to share Palestine..but the area Muslims and etc..did not want to..and lost a war and every war since..so they started exclusively targetting women and children because Palestinian "freedom fighters", mujahadeen, Al Queda, the Taliban, and etc.. are pure fucking cowards at heart, plain and simple. Muslim militaries are a laughing stock and their freedom fighters are worse...or so called freedom fighters.  They cannot win a real war..and if we took control of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq out of the state department's and CIA's hands and et the pro's handle it..we'd win there as well...because, unlike the cowardly press who used press credential to get out of service in vietnem want you know (because if you knew the truth their cowardice would be held out for all to see), we won vietnam..now two years later South Vietnam lost their next war with North Vietnam...but we were not involved in that won. WE won our war after most combat troops were withdrawn and had done there jobs..destroyed an entire generation of North Vietnemese soldiers and the Viet Cong (destroyed as a force in '68, after that they were NV pretending)...and Nixon got tired of them BS'ing and told the Chiefs of Staff..bomb them like never before until you win the war..and we did.
Now a note here about atrocities in that war and others..in vietnam there was only one proven atrocity...La mai...now in every war and by the geneva's conventons, their are unfortunate casulaties...thos ereporters in Baghdad running around with a group of men who appeared arm..in combat decisions are quick and mistakes happen...but then again when you fight cowards who hide behind women and children...people get jumpy. The press love sreporting our mistakes and making a big deal of them..while ignoring those of the enemy...shich in this case includes Pakistan and the Current Corrupt governments of Iraq and Afghanistan the State Department forced on those nations.
The news is now controlled by these young men who used the press to avoid service duringnam, college attendance, or other means..so have to build on the image they created less the world knows about their true cowardice...the same is behind the often lies and propaganda taught in colleges now...or it's controlled by the Suadis..who own a majority of several international news services (reuters and the API)...so it paints a picture favorable to Muslims and detrimental to others...and we buy it stupidly. Example..usual footage of palestinian/israeli actions... you see unarme dPalestinians standing arund, it cuts to Israeli forces firing and attacking, it cuts then to Palestinain dead, usually a child or something, being cradled.... but no story. Like the UN officials who reported during one action they took shelter in a hospital...and palestinian terrorists were using it to fire on israeli soldiers... they aslo reported them usinga school, and other places... yet the world ignored that. These guys send idiots and cowards to bomb civilians, then when Israel retaliates finally, they hide in hospitals, schools, and etc. That's cowardice...they're not matyrs for  a cause, brave freedom fghters, or etc..but simple basic cowards who target women, children and the unarmed, then when faced with wht they deserve for it, run and hide behind women, children, and the sick and ill.... They do the same in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Chenya.. the majority of muslim nations. Wanna know what makes them all shit their pants, the fear that just maybe one day Israel will be unleashed on them. This is why they do what they do..israel has survived attacks by several Muslim nations at once and won...outnumbered..because fucking Muslims cannot fight...seriously. I mean if Indian could, they would of beaten Pakistan long ago..but then again India can't either.
Seriously...watch the various training videos and ask a military expert what they think about it...they'll give you a run down within seconds of every mistake the Muslims make, how'd they'd easily counter it...and tada. First spray and pray...our forces rarely use our weapons on full auto..why? Becaus fucking automatic rifles pull and if you don't hit within the first few rounds..you aren't gonna..automatic fire is mainly supressive...not meant to actually kill anyone, but hold them still so other can hit them. US forces are masters of taking on larger forces with less men..I'm gonna explain this once about our patrols and small garrisons and camps around these places.
Our doctrine in a situation like this (which the CIA and State has not let the military do)..use company, platoon, and such size targets to draw them in..so we can blast them with artillary, bombs, and etc...this wa soriginated in Nam..and sometime sit looks bad...a 144 man rifle company may suffer 50-75% casualties destroying a battalion, brgade, division or whatever. Now think about this, we send out 144 men to get hundreds to thousands suckered in to attack...seriously..and here's the kicker..no company in these actions has suffered like they did in 'Nam.
Now why are we failing... the simple basic rules to fighting a guerilla war.
It's actually easy...and amazngly enough doe snot involve targetting the guerillas leaders...it's actually better to leave them alive as failures.
1) Public opinion..this is important and requires working with the local people and gainng their support via good will projects, helping them with problems, and creating a non-corrupt workable government..which means among the entire population.
We failed here and not because of civilian casualties, but because we supported the corrupt Northern Alliance...and they were and are corrupt...warlords generally...in fact they were so bad at it all, the Taliban was formed because of it and had pushed them to small area in the North of Afghanistan...then we brought in Karzai..a guy who had not been in Aghanistan since before the Soviets..an outsider without a clue who bought the services of everyone else...and padded elections. This si State's failing..at the very least the UN should have overseen voting and tallying and we failed at even this. Our aid..these guys are pocketing it...so that didn't help.
2) Cut there logistics and supplies...you do this by denying local support via patrolling and garrisons...and finding and closing down supply routes. You do not sit and wait...you do not waste recon and oter assets are hunting down leaders and such..you go after there supply lines and cut them permamently. The geneva conventions actually allow strikes against nations supporting them...or allowing supplies to go through them. 95% of the insurgency's supplies in Afghanistan go through Pakistan and originate there....so does a lot of their intel. Pakistan has done more to cut our supply lines then the guerillas in Afghanistan and they harored criminals.
3) keep at it...you do not stop..you also start training local forces who are loyal to help..there are no loyal Afghan forces..there are forces loyal to this warlord or another..this group or another. Afghanistan is not a country at all...maybe, instead of doing what we did we should have talked first.
Afghanistan take spride in teh fact it's supposeldy beaten all these major powers throughout their history..wrong. Afghanistan has had victories, but the truth is it has always been there for the easy takings. Persia, Alexander, the Mongols, Several Indian based Empires, Northern Peoples from the Russian Steppes, Muslims, and etc. have conqueored it and ruled for long periods of time... They have no real identity, in modern times they have been easily Controlled by Russia and Britian..oh they did massacre a british army lead by idiots, like the Zulus did...with spears and hide shields...but Britian came back and kicked their asses and killed the people who did it...then left because the place is worthless basically...and came back any time they wanted to.
Afghanistan was getting owned by Russia until we helped them..simple and true. When they left, we got blamed for not helping...huh? They didn't want foreigner's helping and we had done our job..because those dumbasses couldn't form a governmentand etc..ot our fault..it is the fault of pakistan though who playe dgroup against group and the surounding nations for control.
Seriously, for ages we grew up with Polish people as stereotypically stupid in jokes..instead I think it should be Muslims...come on. They believe the bullshit they're fed by whomever...blame the west, blame Israel..so ona dn etc.. instead of blaming themselves and their corrupt leaders. Come on...what do we want with Egypt, The Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Libya. Yemen, Pakistan, so on and etc... oil..yeah, but we have a shitload number of capped wells of shore and even inland...wecan get it from Russia and etc...and frankly ony Libya, Iraq, Iran,The United Arab Emirrates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait have any worth a shit...and we haven't gotten Iraqi, Iranian, and Libyan oil for years... I mean..damn... Why are we a worry for Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, and etc? Because their people just don't get it..we don't want shit there that is not actually good for them. Most of the countries are shit poor and spend what money they have on things they shouldn't..like militaries geared more to holding power then self defense or invasions...I mean come on...Libya was getting their teeth kicked in by rebels until they started hiring merc, so we evened the odds via bombing, Syria did well because they have the guns in their society..Yemen is getting the shit kicke dout of them by guys on camels..Bahrainrequired the help of Several other muslim nations..Pakistan can't even beat tribes...come on. If w ereally wanted anything from them, we could just send in the MIssisippi State Militia.
Israel has held back because we have made them...you know what thy really want to do is say "Fuck you you cowardly Palestinians.." carpet bomb the area and buldoze them into the sea, the surronding countries, or etc....and dare those to fuck with them. By international Law..maybe not UN, but historical..Israel ha sthe right to conqueor the whole fucking area, and justification to do so..and how much you wanna bet Jordan will cheer them on.

The War on Drugs...and wasted tax dollars...

Okay just read this article   http://www.610wtvn.com/cc-common/news/sections/newsarticle.html?feed=268656&article=9014303 and decided to say what I think about this and other things.
Okay these helicopter flights are expensive...around $1000 an hour..and found a tree sized single plant..amazing....for nothing. Obviously a single plant does not mean a thing, unliked the acres upon acres seized last month in california....but here's thing, this is unnecessary.
Now, not long ago on NatGeo's website I watched a video about marijuan and the pros and cons of legality... and how the pro side pointed out the various benefits and the con side says they're lying about what they spout....while spouting there own numbers...how's about some truth.
Okay first the weedheads.... it's good for you, doesn't cause cancer, will solve our tax whoes and budget deficit whoes..is reusable resource, that causes no economic harm, nurtitious, delicious, tastes like chicken..whatever. Okay..marijuana does make you feel better and has shown quite a few medicinal porperties....but it also does cause cancer for the same reason tobacco does. The number one way of ingesting it is via smoking, but unlike cigarettes you are usually dealing with it being unfiltered...next this isn't your daddies pot..marijuana today is 15-30% THC, that smoked in the day was 3-7%..and people usually msoke it in larger quantities...I'm not talking Cheech and Chong Poato Chip tube sized joints here...but rather joints are larger and blunts even more so..it has a stronger kick and longer effect time...plus the chemicals...Yes all you weedheads, marijuana basically has all the additive chemicals found in ciharettes, even more so...because the growers do not wash the fertilisers or pesticides off (yes even bugs like to get high and they use fertilizers to grow it quicker..they're basically racing to get as many harvests in before they get discovered as possible)..this method also destroys the environmental because of erosion, te harmful effect of the chemicals used to grow it on the environment (fertilisers, pesticides, and herbecides to kill real weeds)..which pollute streams and etc.
Now as for other prodcuts...you're talking hemp which is not the same thing you smoke..see theirs more then one type of cannabis...and hemp is not what you usally smoke...and yes it does have all those other uses..some of the strongest natural fibers on earth..seeds and oils that are awesome..and yes, when grown can revitalise those fields and such...but it is not the ame as you smoke..that has been played with to ifnore everythng but THC and quick growth...so get that ut of your heads.
Now it is one of the best therapies for mentrual problems and pms, pain, loss of appetite, and etc...and tests have shown terminally ill patients on it do better and because of this respond better to treaments and have a better chance of remission..bt the problem as California showed... the umber of supposed medical users went up over 1,000% when it wa made legal for that...meaning for probably every real case, you have 10 fake ones.
My personal favorite..it's nonadictive..uh, bullshit. This is a self reported stat..the fact is in serious studies, it has been shown to be more addictive then nicotine and caffeine.... this in places where users were actully watche dand tested for addictions..not dudes on the street when aske dif they're addicted saying. 'Naw, man I do it only when stressed...' Not mentioning they get stressed when they can't have it.
Okay the anti idiots.... it's the number one cause of crime in the US..sure is because the FBI proved many times police spend more time and effort on busting people for misdemeanor marijuana charges then all other crimes....to the detriment of society. A usual marijuana possesion bust includes 2 normal officers and a K-9 unit..usually taken out of circulation and patrol for an hour to 3 hours... Now think about that and all those statistics you hear about all th time.."evry 2 secs a woman is a victim of violent crime, every 1.5 seconds a rape occurs, even 2.2 seconds a violent crome occurs" Note these are made up, but you've all heard them...so .. let's say just for S&G's every 5 seconds a felony occurs (this is very conservative..most statistics are every 1.5-3 seconds)..that means every minute these guys deal with a misdemeanor marijuana charge you have 3 officers and a dog tied up while 12 felonies occur....during 30 minutes 360....during and 720...get the picture? Why do they do ths? Misdemeanor marijuana charges are the fiscal bread and butter of most departments...netting them like $300-$500 a bust...plus the busted person pleads no contest and it it never shows on a record for felonies...Also involved is the bailsbandsmen and lawyers who make money also..so basically it's not to preet crime, but make money.
Now, I already ststed many of these arguments by disproving the others..but false ones here..it's gateway drug.  Actually only a small percentage of marijuana users go on to harder stuff..and those do not by choice, but end up doing so because of lacing..a danger the proponents miss...another note weed like other drugs is often cut by anything a dealer can find to spread his proffits out..oregano, grass (how it got that nickname)..sometimes plants that are quite toxic when ingested or smoked. It is not the cheapest drug anymore..heroin and pills are actually chaper in places, along with meth...but the most readily available.
Now other lies, and I love this one from health class. It causes infertility, lower IQ's, lack of creativity, and etc.. Things like this is why people believe the government lie to them...I am have always been drug free and have 2 kids..10 years apart or so..every pothead and druggie I know has multipe kids in a short period of time...that kind of disproves the whole infertility thing. Low IQ..man druggies, especially poyheads have seriously deep thoughts and an ability to work around complex problems that would amaze you..also an ability to laugh and the silliest things...but it does not lower IQ's..I think running government studies does that...and creativity..OMG, most artistic geniuses in any genre, visual, performing, music..what the fuck ever took drugs... Look at Einstein..that guy was taking something, Mozart..the same. So kill that noise. Finally, there will be no financial gain for doing so..uh..yes there would and others.
Now here's where I make sense of the mess...Marijuana should be legalised because it causes more harm as an illegal then as something legalised... The largest area of crime statistic would go away with this....and you can tax the shit out of it and still make a pack cheaper then buying from a dealer. Cigarettes cost less then 35 cents to make per pack...they are so expensive because of the taxes...premium smokes, depending on where you live, cost $5-$9 a pack...seriously. Now...how much would you pay for a pack of 20 joints or 6 blunts with marijuana in them?...How much could legit companies charge to make a proffit and cut delers out? The environmental problems would go away because instead of in areas they have to hide it, it can be grown where it is best for...and it does help revitalise the soil in those areas...because farmers do operate to limit erosion and the thngs people growing it out in the woods do not care about. Police officers placed on marijuana patrol can actually start working on real crimes...another bonus, they could smoke also and relieve the stress of one of the most stressful jobs..maybe we'd have less assholes in badges and have more mellow fellows.
The agency to regulate it are there already ATF and etc..so no need for that..plus cigarettes can get better being laced with it...and the taxes again...and a bonus..you can plan ahead as the government..set a secretdate and start stockpiling the shit you grab until then..and then release the date...in less time then it can be cultivated in and auction the seized shit off...but make anything not grown by licensed growers illegal and seize that shit and auction it off also.
Now what would this do.create jobs..you'd have factories making marijuana cigarettes and cigars, pipe tobacco, and etc....without cutting into those industries already.  Marijuana can also be c grown in marginal areas...or those worn out by other crops...and if you get it mixed with hemp and produce those products... You have the bud, seeds, stems, leaves, and etc...a crop that would help struggling farmers more (make it so corporate farms cannot grow it)... jeans would get more durable and people like me, allergic to synthetic materials, would have a nonsythetic one that was tough as those mixed products... The added jobs as theindustry takes off...increasing income tax revenue...make it a non import crop....the taxes for marijuana itself and then sales taxes. Now, a note, do it like alcohol driving wise and etc...that revenue also. Note here..Marijuana does stay in the system for up to 30 days but it's effects are limitted to an hour or so. Of course native amrican tribes will jump on it...so you can buy tax free shit, but it'll still save generate so much revenue...maybe not an exact deficit killer, but come on.
Say initially packs cost 15 bucks for 20 joints and 15 for 6 blunts..with $10 being taxes. That's $10 million in tax revenue for every million smokers. Now say every tobacco company got in on this..we'll say there's ten able to right off....and to make sure product isn't mixed with tobacco and they ca make mixed blends also they need to build a new plant for this... you'd have 10 companies hiring those in construction needed to build said plants, ordering the equipment they need, and hiring the staff...and as they build you know others will... So all those industries will have continueing jobs (and not for awhile, companies are alwasy upgrading and etc...so work will continue)...stores will need more room forstock, more drivers wil be required, more regulatory staff...all these industries and people add income tax revenue also... This adds up..now because you took the number one street crime drug off the streets, you need less cops..or just maybe can get them working other things that are more important. This will add up to more revenue then current..why?
Okay you lose the fines and etc...but you lose the expenses for the helicopter searches, the destructin of crops and etc...the overcrowding in jails and prisons over marjuana based crimes... you also take away the largest revenue generator for those mexican cartels that are fighting...and you also can come clean about why it was made illegal to begain with...because so many other industries gained from it.
Until then the Navy universally used hemp rope and products as did the military in general..these products were tough and long lasting..seriously, Levis' Two Horse jeans were true and made from Hemp denim. Now Levis and all jeans wear out far quicker, where as when theyw ere made from hemp they'd last..let's just say there are still some around from the gold mining days and wearable. Sails, tent canvas, and etc were made ut of hemp, back pants, and etc. Synthetics gained the most and cotton off of this...it was not for any reason but this indutrialists lobbied against hemp and cannabis...the sad note here was they didn't learn from Prohibition.
So, maybe not a deficit buster (especially since our Congress will find ways to keep us in debt, the procurement office, after all still pays $600 dollar for toilet seats and $300 for hammers)...but w ehave hope..now another one. Legalise prostitution and strip clubs..seriously...get rid of the bull about it. The laws concerning such are just ways Vice Cops can get their jollies off and make a bust...and everytime one was polygraphed, because it is always a he said she said thing in clubs and massage parlors..they've failed.... Basically they go in..or even don't..raid and just charge people..the suppose dguys who cased the place never being shown..so the girls have no defense.
Now why do this..because it ha dbeen going on since time started, that is basically all a 'traditional" family is anyway. Traditionally for most of mankind's history a woman exchanged sex and keeping the home for protection and hunted food....guys..a housewife is basically a babysitter.prostitute..that's all. She's doing a job for what money gets her...sex for food, protection shelter, and etc.
Now here's the problem, if it is legal, prices will be higher then street shit..but hey, take all those idiots no longer working the marijuana scens and come down on pimps and shit...I mean really..regulate it. Women to practice the trade need to work in licensed facilities and be tested weekly for STD's...and not allowed to work until cleaned up.. They lose their licenses also if on drugs and shit....except marijuana and alcohol of course. You can also make sure the girls get most of the money and are provided with health care plans...same with men...also men who use such services have to be tested..right there..that way if a girl does end up woth something, they know from whom and that fucker gets nailed. Condoms a must in this trade. Now how will this help..it's legal and instead of cash only...they get charged up front and thegirls get weekly checks with taxes taken out...so income tax revenue..houses get taxed as businesses for property taxes, license fees, and etc..revenue will increase and something done anyway is made legal..and if the bible belt groans..point out the bible does say god would rather man spit his seed in the belly of a whore then n the ground, they bitch more, then point out virtually every biblical heroine was a fallen women of one sort or another.
Eve, in the earliest hebrew texts...the serpent didn't tempt her with just his tongue... Ruth broke all sorts of rules to get her husband, the whore in Jericho, other prostittes throughout the bible, Esther..one of many of the Persian kings wives..basically her uncle slutted her out to the king and she used her body to get her way, Mary..yep jesus's mother was gonna be stoned because she was giving birth out of wed lock...Joseph married her anyway and loved her. Mary Magdelane..a hooker..and after Jesus one of the main beneficeries of the early Christian church some spoke out against who helped them was also a whore... Paul also wrote to a whore often in his travels..it goes on and on. Is it right? is it rght for a woman fully capable of finding work and doing the same o better then man stay at home, clean house, raise children, and bow to her man's every whim..and never say no to sex?..at least a whore would be up front about it.
So two methods to increase revenue and the economy...think about it.

Drug testing welfare recepients...

Okay we know Florida started drug testing those asking for temperary financial aid because the Governor  said it's mainly those who use.... here's a story on it thus far and the fact how limitted the program actually is..
http://www2.tbo.com/news/politics/2011/aug/24/welfare-drug-testing-yields-2-percent-positive-res-ar-252458/
Now, I am a firm believer (note here, I have been on various forms of aid since June 2009 when my health went downhill.) that anyone, anyone period seeking government aid should receive random and comprehensive drug testing while doing so..including all employees from the Ceo, board, and etc...of those companies who needed and still receive government bailouts (alcohol should be part of this testing), college students receiving grants and financial aid, college staff of those colleges that receive government funds, companies receiving government contracts, and etc... I mean everyone including those who receive disability..now social security, no...that should be done via income..people making millions of years on other retirement plans shuld not be drawing it.
Why do I believe this..well, if you can purchase drugs or alcohol regularly..you do not need aid..so fuck you. Now, a problem with the Florida's Governor's belief... most drugs are not bught by porr people...those are just the ones who are seen busted for them the most and support theirhabiy via crime. Most drugs are taken by middle to upper class individuals...who can afford the habits. Sillicon Valley is known as a money maker..it is also one of the most prized territories for drug dealers...the same for college campusses...Congress and other elected offices. If Congress and other such offices, elected or appointed were held to the same standards that they allow companies to hold amploys too drug and alcohol wise...we'd have a suuden string of empty seats and positions. Ever get randomly tested at work..or tested after an injury at work..who no anyone who has..and failed?
Now//most drugs are not bought by the poor, that's why Florida's result's are showing only 2% have failed and 2% have not finished the application process...so basically thus far 96% of those tested so far are drug free and Florida's savings is only equaling around $5,000 a month...not the millions their rich white governor thought. Now you may say..hey maybe they fooled they test..and yes it is possible..but any masking agents should result in auto failures...and the best agents are touch and go at best..when they are discovered they are also tested for....ask NFL players who end up suspended for it... that's what most get busted for..not actual drugs in the system, but the diuretics and masking agents.
Fact is drugs are expensive...and it is usually the rich who buy and use them..yes, some poor people do, but it is more of a middle to upper class thing...like did you know...joe average is regularly tested going for employment and randomly tested when employed...but police officers, elected officials, head of government agencies, lawyers, judges, prosecuters, doctors, nurses..and most what are considered higher jobs re not tested for drugs...ever...unless something goes wrong. Here, where I live the police are supposedly tested and in the local store where masking agents and cleansers are sold (illegally I might add..yes it is against federal law)..they are the biggest customers. CEO's, board members, and upper corporate afficers, bankers, and etc..are also not tested. here's a side note...what's the most desired drug territory in california..... Sillicon Valley.... that's right. The supposed high tech center of the US..what's next on the list... other places wit major corporate or financial centers. The Seattle Area where Microsoft is located..Dell and Intel HQ in Texas..Blizz HQ in Cali...Wall Street, The Capital Zone in DC, Malibu and where the Rich live in California...South Beach in Miami..so on and etc....Places strangely enough where you do not have rampart drug crimes..because the people there can afford it.
Next most valuable places..around College Campuses..and a note here, these areas are also usually high crime. In Knoxville, the area surroundind UT campus is one of the highest crime areas in the city...this is almost universal and most crime sreolve around drugs..and this holds true even for the Ivy League schools...After that it's areas around hspitals..why? All those interns and nurses working long shifts..the poor welfare areas may have higher crime rates and drug related violence because poor addicts are more prone to pull this shit and street dealers are also more prone to fight over nickles and dimes. Drug dealers do not offer on credit unless they know for sure you are good for it..they want money and know professional's if they don't have it the, they will soon....
Our laws are meant to protect the wealthy and make sure the poor suffer more...look at the tax laws..Warren Buffet pointed out of the 20 people in his office..and he's the only billionaire, he paid 3% less of his income in taxes then anyone else did and even wrote an editorial in the NY Times saying the rich should not eb coddled...back when taxes were higher they invested and made money...so that's bs and the fact is with all Bushes cuts for the wealthy and businesses..less then 1 million jobs have been created...From Reagan to Clinton, when taxes were higher..over 40 million jobs were created. Another Billionaire tried to argue and say he was paying between 60 and 80% of his income in taxes and the response was..if he was he had to be living in Europe somewhere...because the flat out highest percentage is roughly 33%...this is the lies they will tell you to cover the fact they get more for less or nothing.
The rich will fire thousands so it appears their company has made a proffit to keep their stock high..yet at the same report to the IRS they lost money...so they don't have to pay as much taxes. Companies who made money one years and lose it up to five years later can get a tax refund against the money they paid 5 years ago..we can't. They want to deregulate..you know why we have so many regulatory agencies? It started back in the late 1800's early 1900's.. read Upton Sinclair's "In The Jungle" and other expose's of the times. This was started because companies were so greedy they'd kill people, deliver goods that kille people and etc...just for proffit. At one point during the Spanish American war 75% of our troops overseas were ill because of canned meat so tainted it was green and smelled rotten.... meat packers would fall into vats of rendering lard and they'd stay..yep..people were eating rendered humans...so on and so forth. The USDA, FDA, and etc were created then. This was also why Unions were so important..remember businesses at the time would flat out hire thugs to kill union members and many massacres occured...Unions were actually great until theybecame more about money for their officers and the mob insted of the workers.
The nest round of serious regulation was after the stock market crash of 1929...because banks and the market were lying and stealing...what started it..one guy walked into a bank asked for some of his money and the bank realised it had none..they had loaned it all out for fraudalent stock market deals and etc...a note here..the rich of the time actually got richer even during this time. Regulation is mandatory and the sad fact is because of deregulation the current crisis has occurred..congress passed alaw to form an agency to investigate this and regulate all the loopholes found in what came before..because of public outcry..since no head has been named for the agency, it has not been formed, and congress has given it no budget....hmm..they hope we forget.
Note here..the only rich you see busted with drugs are athletes and actors..why? because to the rich these guys are thugs and entertainers..so not part of them... As one Rockefeller said after the assault rifle laws were passed when he got busted for one 'But the law isn't for people like us..'. Now i am all for the death penalty...sorry some crimes are so henious they deserve it, but am against it because it is not applied fairly..it is only used against poor people...when's the last time you saw a rich guy get it or even charged with crimes that would earn a poor man it? Never..and these are the actual criminals because they can afford it...
So yeah, I support drug testing for any and all forms of government, including bail outs, loans from the fed to banks...and also making it mandatory it also includes all segments of the public who usually are not tested but make sure those under them are...this is only fair. I guarentee you hit those with random testing and there will suddenly be a bunch of openings at the top that weren't before.
Now things I do not agree..wealth sharing. Okay..i do not believe because Bill gates may be worth $6 billion we take it from him to a livable level and spread it around..I do believe inherittance wise, it should be taxed the shit out of so those who get a piece of his pie have to work also. I do believe laws should be applied fairly and an age limit set for Judges and term limits for all elected officials and supreme court justices... say two terms and for Justices 8 years...I also believe Supreme Court Rulings obviously politically motivated and not not following actual law or the constitution should result in those who voted for them being forced out of office and a new court implaced to review the case..in fact..an unbiased Court should be made to do this on a regular basis. I believe political lobbyists, action groups, and etc..should be banned. I also believe if congress or the president asks for a study and then decides to ignore the study, they forfeit their jobs..I also believe political parties should be outlawed...they exist for no real reason..why? They often work together in blocks to stop actual real answers to problems.
Those running for office should do so on their ideas and merits..not a party line...because party lines do not always make sense for their constituents.  Congress should also give heed to the presidents agenda..why? He alone of all elected officials is elected by a majority of the country..no other person could claim this...so the people backe dhim and his campaign promises, socongress should support him and unlike what has happened to Obama..where even his own party started stabbing him in the back immediately to build a case for their future presidential run...seriously..they did. If we are going to keep partie, then I believe we should post their record for actually keeing their promises when on campaign...and stop presidential elections..why? We are the only nation on earth who's head of state can be serving over a legislative majority made up of a majority of the other party. ..and this kills me, because they don't get a chance to prove the points they were elected for..yep We Americans are so Fucking retarded we'll elect one guy president and give the other a majority in congress so we basically get 4-8 years of bullshit...then blame that president for our stupidity.
Seriously, all offices should be 4 year terms, 2 terms max that way career politicians who just ride the system are out.... all elections at once...and we decide our executve officers based on who controls a majority of the various legislative branches. We have more republicans in congress..republican president..more democrats..same..a tie, then see who can swing the other parties (there are always some).
I support a Federal graft and corruption agency charged with investigation all offices and agencies for such...and such charges be automatic death penalties...same as for treason. I believe all meetings by public officials be open and honest, especially among industry groups..and those who wish to serve in such capacities, give all monies charity and live on a middle class wage for their service...and only that wage...for life. This includes elected officials..you want an appointed office or elected one, pay the price....this way we can be sure you are not corrupt...even after you retire or are voted out of office..your income stays the same. You can make money lecturing or etc..but cannot take any private sector jobs...associated with your field of service...all your financial accounts should be in the open.
This will alter a lot of how the system fails to work..for instance most people who work for the SEC..end up leaving and working for private companies who's cases they actually oversaw while at the SEC..this is the norm. Most ambassadors, after serving their posts abroad, end up with high paying jobs supported by that country as think tanks and etc..usually in support of working with that country or continueing aid. Note here..all ambassadors make the same base pay...but afterwards the benefits change. Every Ambassador to Saudi Arabia after he has served returned to the US working for   Middle eastern Think Tank sponsored and paid for by the Saudis..at a higher rate of pay then they did as an ambassador....seriously, you think tehse guys do not know this and count on making sure they get a cushy next job.
Same for all the regulatory agencies..their employees leave and work for companies whom they help to avoid fines or actions against...not by actually fixing the problems, by via appeals and aming the system..like telling the guy who followed them.."Shh..I'm gonna retire in afew..you'll be next in line." Supposedly theyhave a set number of years they are not supposed to interact with people..but they do and you know it, if not directly, giving others the information they need...this will also see pork taken out of the budget, see actual progress made on several issues...and open up more streams of government income as those breaking the law end up paying for it...unlike now.
So call your elected officials and push for these reforms, or stop bitching because you keep supporting the assholes who want to see billionaires get richer, banks lie, cheat, and steal, China keep taking more money and jobs, and your children in soup lines eventually....thank about it and stop buying the bullshit they feed you...

Football Season again...

Football season is rolling around again and soon every Thurday Night To Monday night men of all ages will be glued to their TV's at the appropriate times..except for me..why? I love college football, I just cannot stand sit still that long focused on oe thing..especially now when being in one position too long definitely hurst and has since 2009...so I do my keeping up online. Mainly via Foxsports and their affiliated sites (CFN and Uardbarker)....and ESPN2... a usually humourous look at sports, but mainly for TMQ...Tuesday Morning Quarterback... which brings me to the reason for this column. Since I spend so much time reading about sports instead of watching..I'm gonna list my top 3 sports writers from those sites, though all aregood...this is in no particular order.
Jason Whitlock... this guy is awesome. I do not always agree with his opinions, but unlike so many writers (who are also fanboys), he holds no punches when giving them or even holding athletes, organisations, and even himself responsible for many issues (yes he has nailed himself in his own columns)..but above all I do enjoy his social commentary's on sports and what is actually behind a lot of what he writes about...and yes, he does sometimes write about nonsports issues.
Now a warning, you may think his viewpoint is mainly black male..and it does come across that way...but, to me, it is not...it's one man's honest commentary on society usually in a sports setting...and he does not pull punches on his critiques of his own race. He's not an apologist for behavior nor an excuse maker... but gives a very honest opinion on these things. Like how college football and basketball does use the athletes to generate huge revenue and shafts them via the NCAA rules over this... and how this predominantly does effect young atheltically gifted black males from poor backgrounds... usually, as he notes, from families who's father has abandoned them at an early age (he sees this as a big issue in the black community and it is in any community when one parent has to carry the bulk of the responsibility for their children)
He does believe colleges should pay such athletes...and you want to know something..i disagree, but recently read an article about how the military academies compensate their athletes (actually all their students)...and it is very doable. I'm not talking pro salaries, but scholarships that pay all expenses..most leave a $4,000-$6,000 dollar gap.... and via monthly stipends of maybe a few hundred bucks..., plus instead of punishing the student athletes, start making the coaches and etc. actually responsible.
I mean back in high school we joked how is it the cops could never win the war on drugs, when the drug dealers advertised themselves by driving expensive cars and wearing expensive clothes and shoes in low income neighborhoods? How come the coaches and etc don't know what the heck is going on when a guy they recruited living in the projects requiring rides from coaches and etc tp practice and etc..show up on campus and within maybe two years start sporting expensive phones, electronics, cars, and clothes?..especially when their time and ability to work is so limitted. He's definitely worth the read whenever he has a new article out or eve viewing his archive.
Lisa Horne... a female west coast writer who is not as prolific as some others...an admitted USC Homer, who is rather insightful and humourous. She mainly centers on College Football and started off as a blogger and guest writer...and the ruler ofthe top 10 lists on Foxsports. I could go on and on about her..especially the fact she does reply to comments and emails regularly from those who are not insulting...even if you have a difference of opinion.
Gregg Easterbrook..ESPN2 and writer during the Football season and Draft of TMQ (tuesday morning quarterback) and basically anything else he can fit into his column....He has brought the concussion problem and various ways of lowering the chances to the forefront through his work over the years...and writes a generally humourous column (now a note, He's billed as the only sportswriter with a nonsports degree...can't remember which). This guy is a must read..you'll love it.
I mean he pokes fun at all aspects of football and football writing and comes up with various theories that have proven insightful and true..plus always includes at least 2 plugs as an excuse to post a pic of a hot woman. Here's just some of his theories..football and otherwise..
1) Universal creep...started off as being Christmas mainly, but now has grown to all holidays, seasons and etc..Basically every year retailers slowly bring out specials, sales, and displays for various holidays earlier and earlier.
2) There are football Gods and they are prone to punish or reward teams for basic actions...
     a) unsportsmanlike conduct..ie: needlessly running the score up against poorer opponents means you will be punished at some point that season extremely (think Spurreir's 1995 Florida team that Nebraska spanked like 62-20 in the National Championship game).
     b) those who take risks will be rewarded, those who do not, will be punished. 4 and 3 4th down, playoffs, you're behind...you punt...you lose...go for it and you win (note this is usually, when giving examples, come with statistics like your team has been averaging 5yards per carry, 11 per pass...)...being behind 10 points and going for a field goal..stuff like that.
     c) Cheerleaders and coaches covering up in cold weather...always get punished.
3) Just picking the home team as the winner in game sof the week, and nothing else will give you a better percentage of picking winners then the proffesionals who make a living doing so...and so forth.
He actually documents stats and etc on these things...Now he mainly does profootball, but his rules do apply to college also. Like how he would explain the success rate of non-BCS schools against BCS schools in BCS would be simle..the big boys play conservatively because they're afraid of losing..the smaller schools do ot and so they usually win. Only Hawaii I believe has lost a BCS game against a BCS school...and all in all non BCS schools have lost twice.since they made two who made it play each other. Which means they are like 7-2 where as BCS schools are under .500 because 7 have lost to these schols and the half of the other teams have lost to other BCS schools...Now the non BCS school have been multiple times Utah, Boise State, and TCU..Hawaii has been once. So, when any of those three schools are undefeated why not let them have a shot at the championship..(a note here, these teams usualy miss because they played each other during the season..or every year you'd have 2 or 3 making it).
He also discusses pop culture, astronomy, and etc..you never know where his mind will go during his columns...which is amazing..so give him a shot..give the all shots and see what you enjoy about them.

Dunno What's up with Google and eBlog..

Since my last post I have tried to post at least 20 times...and it has not gone through..even working on a real format to draw interest here...but when I get done nada. I hit publish post and it freezes up and nothing happens so gonna try and take a look at this again..support has been no help..saying there is not an issue...so let's try again...and see if this posts up.
